Welcome to my practice. I am glad you have chosen to consider therapy with me. My name is Tanya Prather, and I have provided individual, family and group therapy and assessment services to infants, children, adolescents, adults and elders for over twenty years.

I understand that deciding on a therapist is a delicate process, not to be made lightly, and that the success of the treatment depends upon a proper “fit” between the therapist and the client.

Hopefully, this website will give you a grounding in my core values and approaches to help you determine if I’m the right therapist for you.

I have an attachment-focused practice, and I strive to nurture wholeness and encourage growth by being present and nonjudgmental. I also believe in fostering self-compassion. I believe therapy can help uncover and strengthen inner resources to build tools to address current difficulties.

I will always strive to help you work to uncover your strength and seek to make Sanctuary Psychology “a safe place to become your best self.”
